Privacy Policy

Welcome to BeadPals (Chinese name「拼豆宝」, the “App”). We respect your privacy. This Policy explains how the App handles information related to you and how you can manage it. By using the App, you acknowledge this Policy.

1. Core principle

The App is designed for on-device processing: project-related data stays on your device by default. The App does not provide user accounts and does not cloud-sync or host your projects.

2. Information we process

• Images you choose: When you pick a photo or capture with the camera, the App reads that image on-device for cropping, optional background removal, pixelation, bead editing, assembly preview, and pattern export.
• Local project data: The image after cropping and background removal, pixelation settings, bead-grid caches, and home thumbnails, stored on-device so you can reopen and edit.
• Device permissions: Photo library, camera, and save-to-library access may be requested. You can revoke them in system settings; related features may stop working.
• Language preference: If you set a language in Settings, it is stored locally.
• When you contact us: Email content and any version details your mail client includes are used only for support replies.

3. What we do not collect

• No account registration; no login identity such as name or phone number.
• No upload of your projects to developer servers for cloud backup or community sharing (the App has no user-content backend).
• No advertising SDK in the current version; we do not use your images for ad profiling.

If we later add analytics, crash reporting, or other third-party services, we will update this Policy and provide notice or consent where required by law.

4. On-device processing

Background removal, pixelation, and related computation run on your device, using system capabilities or on-device models as available. Results stay local unless you share, save to Photos, or print.

5. Pro and payments

If you purchase or restore Pro, checkout happens through the Apple App Store (and Google Play when enabled). The App checks whether Pro is active so we can unlock features. We do not receive or store your bank card number. Billing, refunds, and canceling renewal follow the store’s rules.

6. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Your local project content is not provided to third parties, except when:

• you initiate system share, email, save to Photos, print, or similar actions; or
• disclosure is required by law, or necessary and lawful to protect users and the public.

Pro purchase / restore interacts with the app store and involves store account and transaction data; it does not upload your project images. Distribution, purchases, and ratings also follow each store’s own privacy policy.

7. Storage and deletion

You can delete history items in the App; uninstalling usually removes app-sandbox data (subject to each OS). Files already exported to Photos or shared elsewhere are outside this App’s deletion control. Subscription records remain with the store.

8. Children’s privacy

The App is for general audiences and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information. Contact us if you believe such information was provided in error.

9. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. The effective date and content on this page will change accordingly. Continued use means you acknowledge the updated Policy; for material changes we will try to provide reasonable notice.
